Description| Peck gives great value to the unique features of the products it selects. 50 & 50 is an important wine which is as particular as it is rare; it is produced from Merlot grapes (50%) produced at the Avignonesi vineyard and Sangiovese grapes (50%) produced at the Capannelle vineyard. It matures for 36 months in barriques and is then refined in bottles for a further 12 months. 50 & 50 has a most intense ruby-red colour, with garnet reflections that increase as it ages; it has an intense and delicate nose, with notes of wild fruits and spices (vanilla, tobacco, leather, and light balsamic notes); it is warm, velvety, rounded, complex, long-lasting and persistent on the palate. Peck recommends this item to those looking for a well structured, aged wine. It is ideal served with flavoursome red meats, important game and fowl dishes and strong, tasty seasoned cheeses.
