Akronte 2000 75 cl. Boccadigabbia
Description| In Peck's wine cellar you can find unique wines that tell the history of Italian winemaking. Akronte is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made from grapes grown at a vineyard which already existed when the Marches were taken over during the Napoleonic supremacy in Italy, with imperial decree at Saint Cloud dated April 2nd 1808. The place-name Akronte is the ancient Lombard name for the Caronte torrent that borders the vineyard to the South. Boccadigabbia's Akronte is an important red wine, aged in new French oak barriques for 18-20 months and then refined in bottles for a further few months. Peck recommends serving this wine with rare cooked meats and game dishes.
