Description| Peck's wine cellar is like a treasure chest of rare and precious wines. Maria is produced by the Hofstätter Estate and is a special wine made from grapes which are iced by the frost of December nights. When they have been harvested, the Gewürztraminer grapes are immediately pressed to separate the icy water from the sugary juices. The must is fermented in steel barrels at a controlled temperature of 18°C. It is left to rest on the ferments for 2 months and then undergoes the first filter phase. The wine does not undergo any stabilising processes to ensure the refined aromas of this Gewürztraminer remain intact.
