Description| In Peck's wine cellar you can find unique wines that tell the history of Italian winemaking. Angelo Gaja revolutionised the wine making methods in Piedmont from the 1960's onwards. Gaia & Rey is produced from Chardonnay grapes from a vineyard planted in 1979; it ages in barriques for 6-9 months. Gaia & Rey has a rich and complex nose with a full, fruity and elegant flavour. Like all Gaja wines, Gaia & Rey acquires its balance as it refines over the years; it is in fact a white wine which ages exceptionally well. Peck recommends uncorking it and allowing it to breathe before serving.
