Etiquette tip: duck liver

Duck liver pâté is spread with a knife on small, bite-sized pieces of toasted or spiced bread. Never spread it on a large slice and nibble it!

On the other hand, if it has already been served on a large piece of bread then it should be eaten with a knife and fork.

Duck liver is generally considered to be a starter, so it should be served after the appetizers and never accompanied by salad.
