Champagne Brut 1996, riserva Peck.

06 June 2008 - 09:45

champagneThis vintage benefits from an ideal harvest carried out when the grapes were at their most perfect stage of ripeness: sweetness and acidity is harmoniously balanced in the grapes to give a champagne where power and freshness are both equally present.

All the best conditions came together to give an exceptional champagne: to look at it is sparkling gold, and the bubbles are very fine and delicate.

Its nose is powerful, offering aromas of spiced bread, followed by notes of brioche, toast and candied peel.

It is lively and expansive on the palate; the candied peel releases complex citrus flavours.

This breadth of tastes makes it right for drinking with food and throughout the whole meal.
