Levia Rosso 2001 3 lt. Caccia al Piano
Description| Peck has always been a key reference point for its selection of quality products. The Caccia al Piano 1868 vineyard is located in the heart of the Bolgheri area, in Castagneto Carducci. Levia Gravia is the company's flagship wine, made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Syrah grapes; it is aged for 22-24 months in oak barriques; it is then refined in bottles for a further 12 months. Levia Gravia is a wonderful ruby red colour; it exudes complex and evolved bouquet of ripe fruit which reminisce plum and blackberry preserves, with floral (violets), spicy and pleasant aromas such as tobacco with hints of truffé. Peck recommends serving it with red meats, roasts, game and fowl, braised dishes or seasoned and marble cheeses, such as Parmigiano reggiano, Pecorino or Gorgonzola.
