Description| Antinori's finest wines occupy a most important place in Peck's wine cellar. Solaia is a 10 hectare Vineyard at the Tenuta Tignanello. Solaia is only produced in exceptionally good years: 2002 was a most particular year from a weather point of view, and the Sangiovese was not considered to be suitable for the classic blend, therefore the Solaia Annata Diversa 2002 was produced with 90% Cabernet Sauvignon 90 % and 10% Cabemet Franc. Its nose is characterised by notes of blackcurrant and cherry, enhanced by hints of boisé. It is smooth, well-balanced and remarkably persistent on the palate; it is a most pleasant wine and has enormous aging potential.
