The first protagonist of the new Wine Sessions cycle dedicated to the bubbles is the renowned Ferrari canteen.
Founded in 1902 when Trento was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, Ferrari preserved its nature of family business and it now belongs to the Lunelli family, descendant of Bruno Lunelli who in 1952 bought a small portion of the canteen from the founder Giulio Ferrari.
Excellence has always been the aim pursued by the company and it is shown in a strict adherence to Metodo Classico, as the only production process, and to Trentino, as the terroir chosen for its vineyards.
The two types of grapes in use, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, are cultivated according to the Trentodoc disciplinary and to rigid protocols.
During the dinner we will taste Ferrari Perlé 2010, Ferrari Perlé Rosé Riserva 2011, Ferrari Perlé Nero 2009 and Ferrari Perlé Bianco 2007. Besides these, a mini vertical tasting of Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore - icon of the Italian bubbles - is scheduled with the savouring of two different years (2006 e 1996).
The big value added in the wine session is the direct involvement of Marcello Lunelli, oenologist of the family and vice-president of Ferrari, that gained international prestigious experiences.
During the dinner you will taste the following wines and the following dishes:
